Ewa Beach Real Estate
Ewa Beach real estate is a very dynamic market. This side of the island boasts some of the newer homes on the island and some great communities. As far as Hawaii real estate is concerned this is a very diversified area.
There are townhomes, condos, duplexes and single family homes available and there's almost always something for someone here. Ewa Beach real estate is diverse and has several neighborhoods with homes priced in the low $600,000 to $2,500,000 depending on the neighborhood.
If you are looking to sell your home there is a good chance it will sell at the asking price or above asking depending on the condition based on recent information and trends.
There's something for everyone. Most neighborhoods have homeowner associations and dues. You'll need to talk with your real estate agent about these dues as some can be in excess of $500 a month.
Military PCSing To Hawaii
For military members PCSing to Hawaii, Ewa Beach is a favorite locale. It's not a long drive to Schofield Barracks and Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam, Camp Smith, Fort Shafter and Makalapa are all close as well.
Military members find that their Hawaii BAH (Basic Allowance for Housing) goes a long way in Ewa Beach and many choose to buy and rent in this area.
It's probably a good strategy to use a military relocation professional and a Kapolei Realtor if buying or selling a home in this neighborhood.
Things To Do In Ewa Beach
There are plenty of schools and shopping nearby and of course there are great family friendly beaches at Barbers Point and Hau Bush.
The Safeway shopping center is famous for its low priced gasoline and there's a City Mill, Ross Dress for Less, Starbucks and McDonalds all right there too.
If golf is your thing then Ewa Beach is probably the place for you. There are 7 golf courses all within a couple of miles and Ewa Beach is home to Hoakalei Country Club, an award winning Ernie Els design.
Commuting From Ewa Beach
The traffic during rush hour getting in and out of Ewa Beach can be a bit challenging but most people drive with Aloha and despite the congestion, traffic flows along pretty steadily. Carpooling in order to use the HOV lane or getting up and going in early are the best bets to avoid the worst of it. Even still Ewa Beach is a very idyllic side of the island. It's where my family and I live and its where we call home.
